Mets trounce the Nats 6-3 last Tuesday
May 16th, 2008
The two run double by Church and Maine’s amazing pitching helped the New York Mets to get the better off the Nationals in a baseball game last Tuesday night. John Maine’s first pitch that struck Lopez on his right leg was the talk in Shea Stadium. It seemed as if the pitch carried a serious message to the Nats that the Mets did not like their behavior in the previous game. The Mets, by winning this Tuesday night duel, have registered a win in the seventh game between these two National League East teams. The effort of Church, who hit a solo home run and made four runs, during the night, was the highlight of the game.
