Padres Jake Peavy heading to disabled list

The San Diego Padres baseball pitcher Jake Peavy, the current holder of NL Cy-Young Award winner, will be heading to the disabled list of the Padres owing to a strained muscle and swelling in his pitching elbow. The Padres ace Jake is disappointed that he will have to sit out for the next two weeks, but is happy that the MRI examination on his strained elbow muscle does not show any ligament damage. Jake Peavy said that he had felt a little discomfort in his pitching elbow during the last three or four games and it became so worse that his day to day activities were hindered. So, after consultations with is trainers he decided to seek medical advice.
