New York Mets fire head coach Willie Randolph

Willie Randolph is the first coach to be fired this baseball season and this news shocked each and everyone involved with the New York Mets. Jerry Manuel, the bench coach of the Mets, will be taking charge of the boys for the remainder of this season, according to Mets manager Omar Minaya. The poor showing by the Mets last season and this season beginning is the main reason for this decision. Omar Minaya hopes that the team will rebuild through designated coach Manuel and will bring in laurels to the organization this season. The tickets to the Mets home games are on sale now.
