Danny Haren Or Joe Blanton?

The New York Mets seek starting rotation help out West in the form of Joe Blanton or Danny Haren. Given the New York Mets tried to get Joe Blanton last season for a package of Aaron Heilman and Lastings Milledge, it seems quite logical. The price may turn out to be higher as each of them has logged more service time, but it still seems like a good fit. Danny Haren’s price may be higher than Joe Blanton’s, and the latter may require more than Heilman and Milledge

The League Signs Off on Alex Rodriguez’s Bonuses

ARodThe details of A-Rod’s revenue-sharing bonuses in his new New York deal finally have been agreed upon and approved by the MLB. The bonuses were the most difficult points to agree upon, as the New York Yankees don’t typically include incentives for awards such as MVP or Gold Glove, and the baseball league doesn’t typically allow statistics-based bonuses.

Do Baseball Troubles Mount Up?

In case Barry Bonds is going end he might never get booed again. The MLB, though, must carry on. Even if under a cloud that now seems to be darker than ever because of its home run king faces charges of obstruction of justice. There’s been a lot of cheating by probably hundreds of players over the last ten or fifteen years. It has become the biggest scandal in the history of the baseball league, and Barry Bonds is just one small piece of it.
