Cardinals outplay Cincinnati Reds at their own backyard

The St. Louis Cardinals came up with a superlative display of baseball skills to overpower the Cincinnati Reds 10-0 last Wednesday night. This is the fourth consecutive win for the Cardinals and players like LaRue, Looper and Ankiel contributed in a big way to their team’s cause. Any Cardinal fan will be rushing to grab their tickets to watch their in form team play. The pitchers played up to their fullest potential for the Cardinals and their manager Tony LaRussa complimented all his players for their efforts. An important factor to be noted here is that the Cardinals routed the Reds without their star performer Albert Pujols taking the field.

Cincinnati bring Adam Dunn Back for 2008

foto2.jpgAdam Dunn became the Reds’ highest-paid player after the club picked up his contract option for $13 million next season. Cincinnati answered that their most expensive offseason question by keeping their top hitter, the only one in the history of the franchise to have forty homers in 4 consecutive seasons. Adam Dunn wanted to stay with the club that drafted and developed the player. The owner of the franchise Bob Castellini was consulted about this decision. A couple of days ago, Bob Castellini stated he wanted Adam Dunn to stay, even if it cost $13 million.
