The New York Yankees clinched their 13th consecutive playoff appearance on Wednesday. What was once considered a disastrous season, has turned into one of the most incredible runs in baseball history, prompting teary eyed manager Joe Torre to say, “There were a lot of guys who played through some injuries, played through some fatigue. And, of course, Alex — we sort of rallied around him.” Alex, as in A-Rod, as in Alex Rodriguez, as in one of the greatest baseball players of all time. No player this year has answered his critics in a better way and the Yankees are in the playoffs because of it. With the Yankees going into the playoffs on fire, Yankees tickets will be a hot ticket.

With the MLB playoffs right around the corner, ticket brokers are salivating at the possibility of having the Cubs, Yankees, Redsox, and Mets all making the playoffs. Even more so, the Yankees and Cubs are two of the hottest teams heading in to the fall classic, and Cubs’ fans annual “this is the year” whispers are turning into loud chants. The possibility of a Yankees-Cubs world series would not only be great for insanely priced ticket sales, but it would also be great for baseball. It would be the perfect storm. A Yankees-Cubs would cure the hunger for two championship-hungry markets in the Yankees-Cubs faithful. With huge markets in New York and Chicago, anyone and everyone is going to want a piece of history, and those who capitalize on this momentous occasion will make a lot of money. For now its just a dream, a cindarella story in the ticket broker world. But even dreams can sometimes become reality.

The New York Mets are really picking up the pace in September. They have won 5 straight games are going to work to complete a back to back sweep. Lo Duca hit 7 RBI’s with two three run homers in the game against the Reds. The Mets won 11-7 in what is catcher Paul Lo Duca’s greates game ever. Carlos Delgado and Shawn Green each had 3 hits and of course who can forget Beltran’s 2 run homer. The Mets are going to do great in the post season and Mets tickets should be hard to come by, but I always get my tickets from Vivid Seats.

Ben Sheets, the Milwaukee Brewers ace is back in the rotation this week. He was in the injured reserve for a torn ligament in his middle finger and a blister issue with that finger. The Brewers lost their first place position to the Cubs during the time that Sheets was out from injury. Reports state that the Brewers feel more confident about their playoff race now that there ace is back to the mound. They compared him to the Cubs’ Zambrano or Cards’ Carpenter. The NL Central is definetly the division to watch this September.
